Where is the curve?

If you were an ant on a giant balloon, you’d wonder too.

@BlueSkyKing We are not ants, and we do not live on a giant balloon or a giant ball. That is pure insanity.
SW-User
@BlueSkyKing Exactly. Because of mass and the difference between our size and the size or mass of land or water around us. Common sense.

It's not like the earth curves away from us 50 miles away.
You can see the curve looking at Chicago. Head out on Lake Michigan on a calm day. Watch the city sink into the lake!! No, not really; it's just a bit beyond the curve of the Earth.

You can see the curve at Lake Ponchartrain.

Check out the power lines. Take some pictures.

Then check out the causeway. Take some pictures.

Did they build all these wind turbines partway under water? Nope. Curve of the Earth again.

And that one is the ocean?
I thought it was bigger...
TBIman · 41-45, M
@ElRengo The Southen ocean is massive, but you wouldn't know that because you've spent your whole life looking at globe projections.

@TBIman You can make it better... or we should hope so
