What's gravity

ArishMell · 70-79, M
The force that keeps the water in the pond so frogs can live in it.....
TBIman · 46-50, M
@Bushranger Dude, no one has ever been to that light in our night sky that we call the moon. NASA faked it so that you would believe that it was possible for people to walk on a ball.
newjaninev2 · 56-60, F
@TBIman
Can you prove that mass bends anything?

Yes
Bushranger · 70-79, M
@TBIman
I will be here to answer all of your questions... if I can.

You have yet to answer mine.
Gravity is curved spacetime, as described by these tensor field equations

newjaninev2 · 56-60, F
@ElwoodBlues Exactly. Mass bends space, and space shows mass how to move.
Havesomefun2 · 56-60, M
It’s that thing that makes me fall over 🍷🍷
ArishMell · 70-79, M
@Havesomefun2 Yes, I've studied the Laws of Alcophysics too, in my time....
TBIman · 46-50, M
@Havesomefun2 You fall over? If so you may need to consult a physician.
spjennifer · 61-69, T
As someone who has flown in "negative g" aircraft, I can tell you that without a doubt, gravity exists. If you seriously doubt it, go to the tallest building where you live and step off of the roof, you'll very quickly find out that gravity does in fact exist.
TBIman · 46-50, M
@spjennifer Someone stepping off a roof is no proof of gravity. It is proof that if something weighs more than the air around it, it will fall.
spjennifer · 61-69, T
@TBIman Then why don't airplanes come crashing to the ground? They are much heavier than the air around them, no?
In my neighborhood it's 9.8 meters per second per second, downward.
ElRengo · 70-79, M
@Roundandroundwego We seem to live in the same neighborhood😀
Gravity is the force by which a planet or other body draws objects toward its center.
@TBIman in fact the proof is so reliably accurate people millions of people yearly get on airplanes engineered by scientists who understand exactly the proof of gravity,
TBIman · 46-50, M
@Ryderbike Top scientists have been unable to prove the existence of gravity for hundreds of years. If they can't prove it, it's highly doubtful that you can.
@TBIman already proven. Would you like more proof? Jump off the roof of a 100 story building.

@Bushranger Hit me. If it's not too complex, I'll answer your question.
newjaninev2 · 56-60, F
@TBIman
Can you prove that mass bends anything?

Yes
Havesomefun2 · 56-60, M
All things go downwards
TBIman · 46-50, M
@Havesomefun2 What about a helium balloon? It's a thing, is it not?
Havesomefun2 · 56-60, M
@TBIman they do go down 👍what goes up comes down eventually
DocSavage · M
@TBIman
According to you, if you can’t see it, it doesn’t exist, you can’t see helium. So it doesn’t exist, you can’t see oxygen either, so we’re not really alive and breathing. Turns out that when god created the universe, he just made a matrix for our souls, oh, wait, you can’t see souls either.
So, according to you, nothing exist. We’re not here. Right ?
Havesomefun2 · 56-60, M
It’s going to make me wobble tonight 🤣🤣
