And we're just living on it?

I've toyed with that idea many times. The biggest problem with it is that we share so much of our DNA with even the weirdest creatures on this planet.

@LordShadowfire even 60% with a strawberry as far as I'm aware. How much more with a species that's actually in the animal kingdom?

@caPnAhab Exactly. So unless we find an actual alien life form that shares more than 60% of our DNA, it's a safe assumption we originated on the same planet as the weirdest animals we can find.
