It’s a ton of work, like a full time job. Even with a garden, we’ve grown little bits and bobs, but nothing near enough to sustain living.
@GLITTER I don’t think I’m cut out for it! A friend of mine packed up bought an old property and is bringing it back to life. I watch her updates and just hope she’ll take pity on me if the end comes. What sort of stuff do you grow?

@Notladylike lmao it’s a good time to become her BFF LOL!!
We have grown carrots, onions, dwarf beans, strawberries, potatoes, we tried sweet corn this year but some bugs got to them and ruined our crop (the crop being 4 sweetcorn’s lol) so we at least have a bit of knowledge but time, space, and also dealing with weather conditions massively impact this kinda stuff. I mean I could probably do it but I don’t think I would ever sleep lol it would be like go to work / do some farming /go to work / do some farming, it’s just not realistic lol

@GLITTER the thing is we could do it if we didn't have commitments such as mortgage. If that was a fulltime thing. We could do it. Its just too much now
@GLITTER I’ve tried my hand at a few things but there is always something eating it; bugs, birds or possums. You’re right in the sense that yes it’s probably possible to do but would be a full time job in itself.
