Whenever I look at Andromeda through my telescope, I wonder whether some being on a planet up there is looking at the Milky Way and wondering whether someone like me is looking at Andromeda.

Yes, I know the light from Andromeda left there eons ago, but that doesn't matter. The two of us could be simultaneously seeing the distant pass, and yet still be pondering the possibility of having a "partner" across the void today.

@DrWatson it's incredible to just think about that... I just can't fathom us being the only life in the entire galaxy. That would be just sad. 😑
@Lilymoon I kind of feel like it would be very arrogant of us to think that we are the only ones in such a vast Universe. Hahaha God loves to create. It is in His nature. I'm sure His creativity is limitless. David wrote inPsalm 8:3, “I consider Your heavens, the work of Your fingers, the moon and the stars, which You have ordained.” We see the vast number of stars, then read that scientists have discovered thousands upon thousands of galaxies, each containing millions of stars.

Psalm 147:4tells us that “He counts the number of the stars, He calls them all by name.” It is impossible for mankind to know how many stars there are, not to mention the “name” of every star. “Indeed My hand has laid the foundation of the earth, And My right hand has stretched out the heavens; When I call to them, They stand up together” (Isaiah 48:13).

The first mention of principalities and powers is inRomans 8:37–39: “No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

@LadyGrace I sure hope so... maybe in the next life we'll jump to the next galaxy...
@Lilymoon Well, I believe what God's Word says, I don't know about others, but it says there's no reincarnation.
@LadyGrace That's not a bad thing. It just means we spend eternity in one of two places, and there's not one of us that has to miss heaven. God turns none away.
