Swimming…?

So I live in a small town. I did try going to the city pool but for one, due to lack of staff it’s now closed until the weekends. And I feel because of that, it’ll be very crowded. It’s also very small.
I drove to the lake and I did look at it. People were swimming having fun but I’m kinda grossed out by the idea of getting in a lake. As well, the whole brain eating amoeba thing.
But I kinda wanted to. I wanted to swim. Take my mind off my life.
