The last of winter, it was a rough one, I went into the woods to see how my trees did

It was over 60°F so I put on shorts. I let the branches and thorns claw at my bare legs and snag my hair. I had a few trees down, some bending under the pressure, healing sideways. I felt that. All the creatures are out and feeling fine.

Later I took my son to the beach but it was a whole different world closer to the ocean. Thick fog, 40°F and hangry seagulls.

But we bravely stuck our toes in the ocean and ran back to the warm car lol

It's a shame when a forest falls to pieces. Some in the perimeters of mine had to be removed and it truly hurt my heart. Hopefully the sight of sand and water filled your own with hope. 🩵

We got to 60 today but it also rained all day. It is amazing though that the forest will renew itself, even the dead branches and tree will provide nourishment and shelter. I do admire your courage to dunk the toes, knowing I’d be tempted!

Lovely pics, I’m especially liking the misty beach pics, always makes the ocean feel so mysterious to see it obscured like

@Axelerator who knows what could be lurking in the fog

@ScreamingFox No doubt all manner of ghoulish amphibians and entrancing Sirens
Both look beautiful in their own right.
