It is true. When you go to the seaside, ⁰you can see a lot of the older folk have a few beers or sherries and then get loved up on the dance floor, usually to Elvis type music. Then they seem to get a lease of life and scurry back to their hotel room. I was unlucky enought to be in the next room once and kept awake with their headboard banging on the wall all night.
