at least long enough for pictures. As far as I am aware, children have always behaved as children and have done child like things. like wandering. you know, my mother tells me stories of her going to go swimming, 8 miles from home, by walking there and up over a rather large, forested hill, and then back again before dark. you cant convince me that a child at the beach would not be given the same freedoms to explore just because mom and dad are there.
