She thinks she's on a ship 🖤

So I wheeled her onto her deck where she could sit with the sun and the breeze blowing through her white hair. Her face stern to be with this moment. The seagulls in the distance. An osprey flew right over us.

Close to her, I feel the ocean too. The intensity of the sun reflecting off the water. Waves lapping a wooden barnacle crusted hull. The scent of the ocean rising in salty particles that leave a mask on your skin.

Mind you we are only three miles from the ocean. She is feeling and smelling her ocean. Her home.

We are not on a ship, we are in a nursing home. But as far as we're concerned we're sailing to Cape May.
