Ever see a Goblin shark?

Nobody knows how many exist because they've only been seen about 50 times since 1890.

Goblin Sharks live close to the ocean floor at depths of 1000 meters or more. They grow to be 12 feet long. The Goblin Shark has a long, flattened snout with flabby skin. Their fins take on a blue, grey, and pink hue. The shark’s transparent skin and blood vessels give the shark a bizarre pink color when out of water.

Looks like a great Ocean bottom cleaner of any carcasses that sink into the depths.
@WillaKissing I'm guessing that's what the shovel-like nose is for- rifling through the sand at the bottom.

@robingoodfellow Yes, and its mouth, and teeth are more for biting off chunks of rotted flesh than serrated like a type pical shark too.
