Also worth noting that in some areas the ground is sinking, and like when when we pour instant mashed potatoes into boiling water, the water level rises. Meanwhile, over the past 100+ years we've rescued our dry land by pumping near dry our great underground sea and halted massive flooding by providing express channels for snow melt and rainfall to drain into the seas. All while paving over more and more of our real estate. The very land I live on was farmland just 50 years ago. Just 25 years ago wed paved over so much of our county that we caused massive flaoding in our nearby downstream communiti. They solved that problem with more effectively channeling the water to the Missouri river.
I don't know how much all the above affects mean sea level, but global warming sounds more like a politically contrived explanation than a scientific explanation.
