grew up swimming out of riptides and relaxing during undertows. it's sad when tourists come and don't know how and end up drowning
Nitedoc · 51-55, M
@SW-User I like that but you're right, it's not for everybody.
SunshineGirl · 36-40, F
I was a mermaid when I was younger 🧜🏼♀️
ArtieKat · M
@SunshineGirl Are you fishing for compliments?
OogieBoogie · F
Yeah, grew up by the beach.
I'm not as fit as I once was, but then survival swimming in the ocean isn't so much about fitness as it is about using the tide and flow to your advantage.
It's more about going with ...or under the water, than fighting against it , like a sail boat tacks with th wind.

I grew up on the coast, so you learn to deal with waves, undertow, etc.

Yes and almost died from being dragged by waves. I didn't realize how far I was going until I look back far away from the shore. In my mind
...don't or drop your ball and drown.
I swim back much as possible without stopping. When made it to shore. I was huffing deeply. I was sick from too much alcohol and puking. Yep........

The big question is, do you know how to swim again a rip tide.
I almost got pulled out by a riptide when I was seven, I was hanging on for dear life on a rock until my Dad could get to me.
