@Matt85 it’s huge! Can’t fully capture the scale of it.

@Freddie222 I wish I had gone to see it when I lived down that way.

Spectacular geological feature . Lovely spot . Avoid the whole area in July and August.
Freddie222 · M
@devonman definetly avoid in silly season. There are a few people around now (mid June) but it’s not busy, camp site is quiet (no kids!) and can easily get a table on the pubs.
Fabulous coast

@Freddie222 Just found it impossible to park in peak time
Or get a table in the pubs . Nice that is so busy for those in business .
Freddie222 · M
@devonman twenty of my hard earned English pounds to park the camper van at Durdle yesterday. Bit steep. That gave us all day parking, fair enough, but no part day options for campers and Motorhomes. Very expensive afternoon out. But still worth it.
Been there- love the Jurrasic Coast! Walks, Natural History and great pubs!
How gorgeous...thank you.

Always reminds me of the Tears for Fears “Shout” video.
It’s a bloody lovely spot isn’t it?

How did it become dinosaur-shaped?
Oneofthestormboys · 56-60, M
@HairbrushDiva
As far as I know, the sea eroded a hollow in the cliff face, making a cave. Then over millennia, the sea gradually bored through the entire peninsula making a tunnel.
HairbrushDiva · 31-35, F
@Oneofthestormboys Did the sea know what it was doing? Lol :)
Nice picture

@Slivereyes thank you. It’s a beautiful place.
