The coast of Mauritius

It is a beautiful picture of a very spectacular structure!

I think Microsoft used it a while ago as one of their logging-on pictures, but did not tell us where it is, so thank-you for the information.

I don't know the area's geology but the peak in the middle looks as if an eroded volcanic plug; which would also account for the extremely steep slope.

Near where I live there’s a place that 100 feet from shore the water is about 300 feet deep. I use to go fishing there .

It drops from 150m to over 4000m. You get the underwater waterfall illusion from sand being swept over the edge.

I've been to Mauritius, it was a beautiful vacation.
