Ever experienced a tsunami?

People over here in Morocco are panicking because of the volcanic eruption in La Palma - Canary Islands, even though it's such an unlikely, pessimistic scenario.

Yes it could also devastate the entire eastern coast of the USA plus Florida and the islands in the area. Scary thought. How far from the coast are you?

@cherokeepatti I hope everyone will be ok. Let's stay positive 🤞🏽

@SW-User yes but at the same time you need to have a getaway plan in place.

@cherokeepatti Yup. My family have a house inland. It's 2:30 hours away from where I live - by the coast.

@SW-User That’s really good that you would have somewhere to go, hopefully be able to leave very quickly and not be in congested traffic. I think they could give a couple hours warning can’t they?
SW-User
@cherokeepatti Never been in such a situation before 😅 If that's the case I think they should.

@SW-User Do you have a bag filled with necessities and important things that can’t be replaced like papers and such? Something you can just grab and take with you so you don’t have to waste time packing everything?
SW-User
You are opening my eyes and making me think about stuff ma lady 🥴@cherokeepatti

@SW-User yes if you live in a city and need to get out the roads will be crowded so it’s best to be ready as soon as you hear something, grab all your important stuff that you can carry and leave quickly. At least be able to get to an area where a large tsunami can’t reach, and in an area with a road to take you away to the interior part of your country. Hopefully you won’t have to leave but it’s better to be safe than sorry
