Being a Nude Model

Just some random thoughts on being photographed in the nude. I did it once having answered an advert from a ‘lady photographer’ in a magazine I found in my hotel room. Well, I was away on a business trip and bored! So I just rang the number and bizarrely it was just round the corner from the hotel and she invited me straight round to her ‘studio’, which turned out to be just a room in her house.

It was a strange experience taking all your clothes off for a stranger and letting them photograph you. After all you have no idea what they are going to do with the pictures. At the same time you feel both very vulnerable and rather excited and flattered that somebody thinks your naked body is worth photographing. It also in a rather sexy way makes you feel submissive, you’re in the nude and being given orders about how to pose and how to look.

‘Look more sexy,’ she kept saying, but I was rather too self conscious.
