@devonman] his mom wasn't impressed as we were. She was a bit upset. She had no clue her parents were ever involved in such " behavior" she called it. She was shocked. LOL

@goodlil666 Yes, I read of another couple cleaning out the grandparents' house and finding volumes of sexually explicit photos of them.

@novaguy2u it seems people were not as conservative and straight laced back then as is most often believed.

@goodlil666 Yes, I understand so, and there was a lot of erotica published back in the late 1800s, such as "The Pearl" and "The Oyster". It was "The Pearl" that first introduced me to erotica.

@goodlil666 Even back in the 1980s and 90s you had to know a private studio to get "action" photos processed, unless you had your own darkroom. I was fortunate to find such a facility in the same city. Regular processors would destroy the film.

@novaguy2u I got to know a small local camera shop and developer. He would always process my stuff with no issues no matter how explicit it was.

@goodlil666 Yes, the same for me. I discovered that they did the processing for a swinger's magazine and tracked them down. The publishers of the magazine were happy to help as I was writing for them. Likewise, nothing was too explicit for the processors.

@goodlil666 ever consider using them for an exhibition?

@novaguy2u do you still have the negatives? I have negatives from the 1970s and 80s. I am progressing through scanning them.

@samueltyler2 I doubt it , his mom was horrified by the photos and wanted to destroy all of the photos. Luckily he had an uncle helping us and I believe he took possession of the collection. I have no idea if the collection even still exists.

@samueltyler2 I did see them the day they were found.. I would like to see them again but they are very explicit. Almost all of the photos were of people engaged in some type of sexual activity and some showed bi-sexual activities. I know his mom would never agree to the public display of any of the collection.

Even though explicit they were still kind of artsy. They showed the subjects in various stages of undress. The majority were taken outside in a picnic type setting. Some were taken around and in one of two vehicles , a model T Ford touring car with a soft top or a model A Ford soft top. Only a handful didn't show someone engaged in some type of sex. It was interesting to see the type clothes they wore, their hairstyles, and the cars as well. A few you could see they were using some kind of dildo and had tied up the ladies in several photos.

@Strictmichael75 I thought so. I had seen old photos of nude men and women before and even a few of threesomes of people engaged in sex . But never any old photos as explicit as these. They actually showed oral, vaginal and anal penetration. They were not just posing but actually engaged in a variety of sexual acts heterosexual and even bisexual by both the women and men.

@Strictmichael75 Yeah, I enjoy explicit images. And photography was much different than it is today. They didn't have fancy point and shoot cameras. To get images that were in focus and properly exposed you had to have a decent working knowledge of aperture , exposure and film speed.
