@DeWayfarer oh, I swam nude at night, also was on a beach by myself when younger. I was worried I might be discovered, but, that was no where like purposely disrobing on a beach.
@samueltyler2 no it wasn't a joke. The city was sued a few times for attempting to ban nudity there. They lost each time because the beach isn't city property. It's state property. They are still attempting to ban nudity there from my understanding.
BTW that sign was washed away long ago and never replaced. I do remember that it was at the bottom of the "Eden" path down the cliffs.
@samueltyler2 you don't have to define anything really. It was simply put there as a deterrent. Yet it's state property. The city had no place putting any sign up on state property. Only the state can.
@DeWayfarer In NJ, Gunnasin is on federal property, and the feds have no ban on nudity, so the beach is totally legal, it is about the last beach on one end of Sandy Hook, only the Coast Guard station is further. It is a long drive to it from the entrance to the park, and a long walk from the parking lot to the beach. What i think is funny, the showers are separated by sex and are indoors.
@samueltyler2 we have been through this before on my photo album (link above). 😊
Blacks beach wasn't the only beach either. Several beaches were actually banned from nudity which is as well in my photo album. The state itself banned them unfortunately, due to lack of protest.
Why I bring it up at all. If nobody protests, the prevailing opinion will win out.
Other states have the same problem. People just don't want to protest and will "go along" with the prevailing opinion.
@DeWayfarer so sorry about that, banning of the nudity. I will have to look at your albums. i did manage to sneak some images from the beach, mostly of myself.
