Yes. It works, because they are mature enough to understand that it does not benefit anybody if they tantrum because they will not get what they want from the tantrum. I get that discipline can come in the form of spanking, but I do not think that forgetting to TEACH them the right thing before spanking them is a good idea.

In all the spankings or any other descipline I have given an explination of why/how it was earned and the reasons the actions were undesirable were always included .. .. ..
