My boyfriend spanks me all the time. Sometimes it's playful sometimes it's not. It definitely hurts more when he's mad. He uses his hand mostly. But also uses a belt or a brush.

I'm glad to hear that. I knew there was something better about the "angry" part than it sounded. Sometimes people read way too much into things which makes them judgmental of others and label them. I have fallen victim of this sort of attack on my person all the time. I try my hardest to not follow that pattern by not judging people by first impressions. Just because they are different, doesn't mean they are worthless!
