@Zsuszana1. Thanks for your note. Position is important for sure, expecially when the target is the bottom. The position you described make the buttocks to be well tensed so they absorbe very well the pain from the implement. Bastinado (beating inflicted on the soles od the feets are usual) un some Asian societies, while whipping the upper back was common in the naval companies and is still used in some religious comunities.
