I Was Spanked As A Teen
HOW MOM WAS SPANKED
As my two sisters and I can attest, our mom was a champion spanker. One of her sessions always resulted in the girl being unable to sit down for a long time. Mom used a wooden hairbrush on our bare behinds, and the sting was terrific!
Mom told me one day that by comparison we got off easy with the hairbrush. She didn't go into great detail, but she related to me how her dad, my Grandpa, would spank her when she had misbehaved.
All of us, including Mom, grew up in a small town that had a large farming community. Most homes had wooded land as part of their property. Barns were also common. Mom was a young girl during World War Two, and as she told me, parents back then were pretty strict!
When Mom was naughty, Grandpa would usher her into the barn. On the way he would cut a nice limber switch. At least Mom was spared the added shame of having to pick out and cut her own switch for her own behind, as was commonly done. I always thought of the switch as a "boy" punishment, but apparently girls got it too. Once inside the barn, Grandpa would make Mom bend way over a wooden sawhorse and hold on to the crossbar. Then he pulled up her dress and slip, and pulled down her white bloomers to expose her hind end. When Mom was thus prepared, he whacked her behind with the switch from the tops of her cheeks to the middle of her thighs while poor Mom howled her head off. As a result, her bottom was scratched, cut and bleeding. After the whipping Mom had to pull up her bloomers and trudge back to the house, where Grandma would rub salve onto her cuts. It must have been very hard for Mom to sit down for a while!
So by comparison, we learned to appreciate the hairbrush more, and be grateful that we didn't get the switch until our rear ends were sliced like Christmas hams.
Of course we didn't think the hairbrush was any picnic either!
