I Am Curious About Adult Spanking

I am wondering why an adult person would want to submit to a spanking. Also I wonder if being spanked as a child leads to a spanking fetish.
If anybody has any thoughts on the subject I welcome your input.

I think the reasons would vary and may also with adults depend on the partner.
