Now that I'm old and 36, do I have to be a mature adult?

Yeah, 36 is when you have to be a grown-up.

Preferring vegetables instead of sweets.
Listening to orchestra or ambience instead of cool music.
Enjoying doing taxes and paperwork instead of video games.
Smoking a pipe instead of a bong.
Driving a Buick or mini van.
Ordering healthy food options.
Watching c-span on TV.
Wearing a suit and tie.
Strict schedule revolving around meal times and bed time.
S3x only on Sunday afternoon in missionary position through a hole in the bed sheet.
Church on Sunday morning.

OOOOOORRRRRRR... you can ignore all that boring old people BS and live and do as you want WHEN you want like I have done for the past 12 years when I turned 36.

Well like @whowasthatmaskedman said in so many words - growing old is mandatory but growing UP is optional.

Ya know I remember watching Leave it to Beaver and seeing how Ward and June acted and thinking, "I hope I never grow up." So far I haven't and you do not have to either, young dude :)
