@saragoodtimes are you really from NJ? Most respond with NJ turnpike exit numbers. That, if correct, is GSP. It can get you to I78 which can get to the airport. So, you do know some of the way. Are you east or west of GSP?
@samueltyler2 I live in Pa now I was born and grew up in Madison, Morris County west of the airport. my brother lives in Flemington and my sister in Lakewood
@saragoodtimes Used to work in Madison .. commuted from PA
@Stillwaiting at the business compound on the old Dodge Estate?
@saragoodtimes No. Our offices there moved several years ago a bit further up I-287. I was eligible and began full time WFH so I could actually see my family Mon-Fri.
@Stillwaiting 287 was only finished up to rt 24 in Morristown when I moved away. now it goes all the way to the Tappanzee bridge
@saragoodtimes That predates our move here by a good bit I'd guess. Have only been in the area a bit over a decade.
@Stillwaiting 24 was a zoo with the morning and evening traffic

@saragoodtimes that is an interesting location, the old estate is gorgeous, but driving around there can be tough, lots of traffic. it has gotten a little better at the Dodge Estate, they widened that road, and now with covid there is much less traffic. We went to a lacrosse game in Princeton and breezed down the road recently.
I don't remember when 287 was below 24. you are correct, it is now all the way past Mahwah then onto the westchester expressway. It is so weird to think of it as East-West up there, wher it is North-South here. We live off exit 45, Wooton Street in Boonton.
@saragoodtimes I can imagine. My drive was ~120 miles round trip and bad enough as it is now. Don't miss that at all.
@samueltyler2 Mrs Dodge donated the municipal building in Madison to the town in honor of her deceased son. had a friend who lived in hilly Boonton originally from Lincoln Park

@saragoodtimes right now with covid, it really isn't a problem even at rush hours, but normally, the junction of 24 into 287 is to be avoided from 3-7 PM and sometimes even wider hours. I worked in Newark and I would stay in my office often well past 6:30 just to avoid the traffic.
@Stillwaiting haven't been on 287 in years.

@saragoodtimes Boonton town or township. There are some fabulous houses in the township. Downtown Booton is sort of cute, almost a Hollywood set.
@samueltyler2 the town. haven't been up that way in years. remember driving past the resovoir to get there

@saragoodtimes the reservoir is currently over capacity, but several years ago the drought was so bad that you could see the tops of buildings that were originally there and were flooded to build it. My band rehearses in Denville.
@samueltyler2 is the Rockaway mall still there. shopped there, the livingston mall and Short Hills mall

@saragoodtimes malls are really struggling. i think many will never completely re-open. Some developers are putting up smaller, outdoor malls now and they are more popular since one doesn't have to go inside a big mall. Livingston Mall is like a ghost town. Lord & Taylors is closing, so that will be huge vacancies in some of them
@samueltyler2 they're tearing down one of the oldest malls near Reading now. was the fairgrounds years ago

@saragoodtimes I feel sad about what is happening, the economy is in the tank because of covid, and the effects could have been far less if the US had taken the outbreak more seriously, as we saw the efets in Ital. We thought the ocean would protect us. We are still not reacting appropriately so it will be a lng time until we feel safe enough to shop in a mall.

I have to change equipment and start exercising. I will be back in a few mins.
@samueltyler2 I worry this virus will make a comeback when flu season hits.
