I have a question:

Do you have any sort of support garment to help you out, you know, like how women wear a bra , do you have like a 'ball bra'?

I mean...walking, and so many other activities must be difficult.

@OogieBoogie No actually. Moving around is by far my biggest difficulty. For a while, I was using a jockstrap and kind of positioning it in a way that it helped support things but it's extremely uncomfortable. I've heard about some companies that make custom underwear for larger guys, and so far I haven't had much luck. the only company that was willing to take me on, quoted me at over $300 for a single pair. For now, I just kind of have to be careful and use what I can, but I do hope to get something to help in the future.
@GrowingAndGrowing I'm guessing by your user name, that this is a situation that is only going to become more and more difficult.

How do you survive mentally?
GrowingAndGrowing · 18-21, M
@OogieBoogie Yeah...

It's never really been all that heavy on me emotionally (pun intended) I grew up homeschooled, so I never really had all that big of a social life, I guess that's why I don't feel like I'm really missing out on all that much in that department. As for my long term health, it is something that I worry about quite a lot. There's always the option for a reduction surgery, of course that comes with a whole other slew of possible issues, but just knowing that there is a possibility for me to get out of it as a last-ditch effort is probably the one thing keeping me grounded.
@GrowingAndGrowing That's good to know surgery is an option .

But, surely....that's not going to be a one time thing .

I mean , if this is your size now...and your growth is evidently driven by your body chemistry....surely one surgery won't be the end to this .

And how long do you wait?

I mean , it's not just the outside that's growing, so is the inside.
Like, surely the vein/artery structure to provide blood flow is even larger than normal ?

Tell me if I'm being too intrusive.
GrowingAndGrowing · 18-21, M
@OogieBoogie Yeah, obviously I'm not a medical professional so I don't fully understand everything, but as time goes on it will get more difficult to a degree, but from what I've heard, my blood vessels aren't necessarily enlarging all the much over time, they're just "spider-webbing", which is apparently a good thing. and you're right, it likely won't be a one-time thing, which is why I'd want to wait as long as I can before getting it. It's a risky procedure, and honestly I have no clue how my condition will progress with or without it. All I know now is, I can still move, and function relatively easily now, so I don't want to risk everything unless I absolutely have to.
@GrowingAndGrowing ah, that makes sense .

But do remember that a human body is at its physical peak when its in its 20's: prime healing capacity.

Appreciate your practical replies ...and kudos on your mind set .
I've spoken with others who have the same condition, and all I can say is ...don't wait too long.

I've seen how for others, by their 30's , they begin to get so pessimistic - and addicted to that pessimism.

It defines them.

But your attitude is great 😊👍

$300 for a support garment seems incredibly high .

Even women who have like 'w' sized breasts don't pay that much....that's awfully unfair.
