We lived with my ex's parents when I was going to college. They were very nice and very serious about members of the household honoring the house rules. Violations of the house rules resulted in firm old-fashioned discipline. His mom was also disciplined for disobedience etc. They were a very loving couple and I was happy to live under the house rules even though I was punished for violations. His mom skillfully used a wooden paddle and his dad masterfully used a leather strap to apply discipline. I wrote a pinned post about the experience... Birdie

Domestic Discipline, for wives, and the daughters that grew up understanding, as well as knowing their mom was punished, makes it simple to begin the practice again, when there is a divorce, or post college, where the daughter moves back in to the home..

As a disciplinarian, having adult women come to me for this, is seeing the result of marrying non dominant men, or being divorced and wanting firm guiding handle. There is no age limit on being held accountable.. Some just do better when they have regular discipline. Happy to chat with anyone with questions.

I still keep myself according to my mum's guidelines. She used to do all the disciplining. I used to get a beating and then later on she'll sit me down next to her to make me understand the situation
