@mindstruggle I am still learning. Very few people my age are fluent speakers because they tried (and nearly succeeded) to eradicate our languages.

Also, sorry idk how to speak arabic so I kind of follow their accent. My coworkers would laugh at me tho while I'm being serious. 😑

@mindstruggle your coworkers are mean.

And we are trying! There’s a big effort for language revitalization right now. My daughter is in an immersion program 3 days a week and at 2, probably speaks it better than any of us.

My dad can speak it conversationally and it heals my heart to hear them talking to each other 🥹

That’s honestly so beautiful. Hearing a language carried forward through your daughter and your dad must feel incredibly healing. You’re keeping something precious alive.
