Nobody has to accept another person's kink.
PERIOD.
That being said - it sounds like kind of a deal breaker for you both.
If he absolutely has to have that to stay in the relationship and you can't give it - then he has to decide whether to stay or go.
On your side - you have to decide if you can deal with the spit...if you just can't then that's valid.
Bottom line: If he has to have it to stay in the relationship and you just can't do it - sounds like the decision has made itself.
Nobody should have to go without something they crave - and nobody should do anything that makes them feel bad.
And nobody should passive aggressively put the blame on the other person for not sharing a kink.
