Annihilation
A few years ago I watched 2017's summer science fiction horror release Annihilation and I was mesmerized. One part cosmic horror and one part self reflection, it made me face myself and asking, "Do I really seek my own annihilation?"
I was intrigued by this introspective inquiry and the mystery within the zone so I bought the trilogy it was based off of, Area X.
While traveling to Maine, I would wander those deep halls of the lighthouse and stare at myself through it's duplicity; haunting mutations and strange pools.
It often reminded me of Shadow Tower for the PlayStation 2 for aesthetic and esoteric, while taking Dark Soul 's philosophy for negative cycles, both personally and socially.
Do you seek Annihilation? It manifests in our choices, our vices. We practice it everytime we go to sleep.
These are just some random musings for the day. Let me know your thoughts on this kind of thinking and/or media mentioned. :)
