Elon Musk is powerful only as long as people allow him to be; and those who do should be asked exactly why. I'm sure it's not simply to be nice to a former computer programmer who happens to own space-rocket and car factories. It's hard to know who is using whom the more in this horrible canine-cannibalism: Musk using his backers, or the backers using him to get rich quick themselves.
He is a prime contractor to the Government, not a politician; and so would be expected to be accountable to Government and Congress. The US Government also has the freedom to refuse him any further work; perhaps diverting the money it pays him, back to NASA .
Your Congress must show it will not be dictated to by Musk. It, not SpaceX, is your nation's parliament.
MS Now - originally Microsoft property one might expect to support President Trump - seems to suggest Musk is carried by the Republicans. He likely is at top level, but I imagine there is plenty of opposition to him from all sides.
Originally I thought the world would be watching an American version of Putin and the Oligarchs; but unlike the Russians whom Putin used and abandoned, the USA's Oligarch-in-Chief thinks he is untouchable. He thinks so partly because he seems to lack all normal human feelings anyway, but more importantly because too many people have found it personally useful to massage his ego and let him get away with things.
His bellicose threats though, suggest to me he is becoming scared that the United States of America will see though him; will not allow him to turn it into effectively a single-Party nation run by his tame President.
Elon Musk is ruthless and inhumane, but dangerous only while people allow him to be. Men like him are not infallible or unbreakable.
$>442M donations to Republican campaigns... Is that level normal in US electioneering? Who is paying though? Musk personally, or the profits from his government contracts?

L O'D is must see TV.
Also, is there any other such show where the host lets his guest say what he came to say without the damn host interrupting all the time?
