What will Trump do if he loses?

If Trump loses the election, do you think he will back out of politics, and spend most of his time playing golf, or will he try to become some kind of GOP king-maker ? Do you think would be able to walk away, or is he too addicted to the spotlight?

Let’s hope he doesn’t lose then it won’t be an issue
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
@Jake966 of he wins, how will we protect ourselves from the actual implementation of Project2025, and his "retribution?"
RockerDad · M
@Jake966 I’m praying he loses, just hoping he will truly go away when he does.
Jake966 · 56-60, M
@samueltyler2 how will you protect yourself against illegals when your guns are taken away , deal with mandated government funded health care , even higher prices on everything , and higher inflation if she wins ?
Jake966 · 56-60, M
@RockerDad so you can deal with a president who has no clue on how to help us but hurts us ?
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
@Jake966 once again, you take an approach that is total denial of fact. I would rather deal with the continuation of our Democratic Republic!
Jake966 · 56-60, M
@samueltyler2 or what it really should be which is a Constitutional Republic where the people run the government not the government run the people like Harris wants
DeWayfarer · 61-69, M
@Jake966 like Harris was the one that ruled the president can do no wrong!

You have Trump to blame for that supreme Court ruling! And more dictatorial powers through the supreme Court will come from only Trump's past actions.

You want an emperor? Well Trump is going for that!

“A republic, if you can keep it.”

--Benjamin Franklin's response to Elizabeth Willing Powel's question: "Well, Doctor, what have we got, a republic or a monarchy?"

Franklin himself was ONLY afraid of a monarchy, nothing else! You would put up an emperor instead though. Way beyond Franklin's greatest fears.

Is it no wonder life long Republicans like the McCain's and the Chaney's are endorsing Harris?...

Just the Republican Congressmen for Harris as of yesterday:

@Jake966 I want nothing that Trump is selling.
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
@Jake966 you should reread your post, and or take a more careful look at how our government, before the crazies took over the conservative movement, ran. The conservatives are pushing the country to the far right, towards a totalitarian government, far away from a constitutional republic!
DeWayfarer · 61-69, M
@samueltyler2 so much so the real conservatives are leaving the extremist. Like my previous reply.

Trumpets really are not conservatives even.

@RockerDad So you don’t want lower interest rates, a secure country,, A better military , and lower prices on items you buy ?
Jake966 · 56-60, M
@samueltyler2 tell me what parts you don’t agree with ?
DeWayfarer · 61-69, M
@Jake966

Dow a week ago.

The Dow under Trump

Trump caused the crash and price increases and Biden fixed it!

The interest rates is how that is done!

Without those interest increases we still would still be hunting for toilet paper, except without a toilet to flush it!

Prices, throughout the whole economy, never ever in the history of the USA go down. That's economics 101!

Trump would have only the very wealthy own anything, including toilet paper.

That is the problem with Reagan trickle down economics. It doesn't get trickled down! The wealthy own more and more and more!

Reaganomics was disproven!
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
@DeWayfarer It really isn't fair to blame the total economy on a particular action of a particular administration. I don't know why that graph stopped on March 18, 2020 which was when COVID hit like a bomb. COVID was the biggest factor affecting the economy for the years to come. The ballooning of the national debt from the tRump-era tax cuts set up the economy for trouble when COVID came along and the government had to spend lots of money to keep people alive and the economy from tanking. The inflation was a natural result, luckily, although many seem to deny it, the economy reset, with income rising to offset much of the inflation, and inflation has slowed down. No one should expect prices to fall to pre-inflation levels, unless we enter into a recession, with substantial unemployment, and people cease having the ability to purchase the things they want.
DeWayfarer · 61-69, M
@samueltyler2 it stop there because that was when the toilet paper shortage happened!

Prices skyrocketed.
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
@DeWayfarer as I recall, that was a phoney as well. The word got out that there would be, which caused a run on the stores.
DeWayfarer · 61-69, M
@samueltyler2 my meaning everything started to increase.

The wealthy were having a field day increasing the price of everything. They lost their profits on the stock market.
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
@DeWayfarer I have no idea what you are saying. Anyone with money in the market has done incredibly well since then.
DeWayfarer · 61-69, M
@samueltyler2 exactly. By increasing the prices! They made up for the losses on the stock market by increasing the prices.

This approach is typical capitalism. You capitalize by whatever means you can. Stock market crashes, you increase the prices of everything.

Profits no matter what! That's all that matters to a capitalist.

Biden had to increase the interest rate. Because the people were spending their savings. Less spending less profits.
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
@DeWayfarer are you proposing a different economic system?
DeWayfarer · 61-69, M
@samueltyler2 that is how it currently operates! No different economics.
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
@DeWayfarer you seem to condemn capitalism. If it is so bad, what do you suggest to replace it.
DeWayfarer · 61-69, M
@samueltyler2 that i just can't answer. Better minds than mine would have to do it.
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
@DeWayfarer then don't condemn it! I would like to see changes, unfettered capitalism ends in monopolistic activity which damages those citizens least able to absorb the hits. Also, I believe in improving the tax system. The highest income earners pay the lowest percentage of their spendable funds!
