Today the media discovered that before the debate, a Trump staffer called Springfield, Ohio and asked if there was any truth to the story about disappearing cats and other pets and was told no, there is no evidence, that it never happened. Despite this, the story was used during the debate. Not only did the republican party not take the story back, it was amplified, and Vance actually said that it is okay to make up stories.

@samueltyler2 Why does Vance putting the official stamp of approval on fabricating vicious, bigoted LIES as part of his/Putin’s/tRUMP’s campaign not surprise me in the least?

Maybe because they’ve been doing it all along.
