Is delusion a mental illness?

When Biden did poorly in the first debate, most Democrats admitted it. This time Trump did poorly (even by FOX NEWS) and his base along with Trump himself, refuse to face it or blame everyone else. Do we really want a totally delusional person with his finger on the button regardless of his policies?

“When a prizefighter loses a fight, the first words out of his mouth are, ‘I WANT A REMATCH,'” Trump posted on Truth Social, asserting that he won Tuesday’s debate with Harris despite some polls showing otherwise.

Where are you getting that Fox News thought he did poorly? My husband watches Fox News and immediately after the debate they were interviewing their people about it. They talked about many moments where they thought he did well. They made comments about what he could have talked more about to drive his points home. But overall they praised Trump and said he was the winner which was way different than how many others see it. They thought the moderators were biased saying they didn't fact check Kamala on things they said have already been debunked.

@midnightrose alotta Liberals just dont get it hahaha
@midnightrose Some pundits pretended Trump did well, but most claimed that they both did bad since they knew nobody was buying that Trump did anything other than horrific.

@midnightrose I watched their panel immediately after the debate. I was shocked at their response. I haven’t watched anything since so others could have said different things.

@Different a lot of MAGA don’t get it either. I guess it’s a tie!
@midnightrose

Where are you getting that Fox News thought he did poorly?

Maybe it differed by which Fox he watched; clips here from Fox largely are not praising DJT:

They thought the moderators were biased saying they didn't fact check Kamala on things they said have already been debunked.

The moderators shut down DJT on the most egregious falsehoods (like abortion after birth; the name for that is murder, not abortion). This shows that VP Harris did not say anything so egregious.

Have you looked at the real-time fact-checking? It might answer some of these questions.

@Handfull1 Yep, the Fox panel said Harris won and it wasn't even close.

Fox News voter panel says Harris won debate

Asked who they thought won the debate, 12 voters on the panel raised their hand for Harris while just five indicated they believed former President Donald Trump won.

Asked why they thought Harris won, many voters expressed that Trump did not know how to attack his new opponent in the race.

And if you skim these 'top talent' comments

you find a whole bunch of people making excuses for Trump.
@SomeMichGuy I'm not aware of other Fox News. I only know the one. I looked it up to try and find what I saw and nobody is posting the group of people that were talking about it. Maybe those are the ones that @BohemianBabe was talking about. All I know is the people I saw were not talking like he lost.

You want to believe that Trump won the debate, so like Trump himself, you too believe that he won. Which side is delusional about that fact... is it the Republicans or the Dems?
@swirlie I don't believe Trump won. I am talking about what I saw on Fox News after the debate and how many of them were talking about it. Don't twist my words.
@midnightrose Karl Rove isn't a Fox News employee, just a frequent contributor. Get a load of what he wrote for the Wall St Journal!

Republican Karl Rove says Trump got ‘crushed by a woman he called dumb as a rock’ during ‘train wreck’ debate

Veteran Republican strategist says Trump’s ‘furious’ performance ‘catastrophic’ whereas Harris was ‘calm, confident, strong and focused on the future’

Source: https://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/americas/us-politics/trump-harris-debate-karl-rove-verdict-b2611340.html

Writing in The Wall Street Journal, Rove says the former president’s performance was “far worse than anything Team Trump could have imagined” and Trump was “visibly rattled” as Harris “launched rocket after rocket at him.”

. . .

Going deeper, Rove writes that Trump was bested by his emotions when he must have known Harris would try and get him to lose his cool.

“He took the bait almost every time she put it on the hook, offering a pained smile as she did,” Rove said. “Rather than dismissing her attacks and launching his strongest counterarguments against her, Mr Trump got furious.”

. . .

Offering his opinion of Trump’s demeanor, Rove says: “It matters how debating candidates carry themselves. There, it was no contest. Ms Harris came across as calm, confident, strong and focused on the future. Mr Trump came across as hot, angry and fixated on the past, especially his own.”

. . .

“But there’s no putting lipstick on this pig,” says Rove. “Mr Trump was crushed by a woman he previously dismissed as ‘dumb as a rock’. Which raises the question: What does that make him?”
@BlueGreenGrey Yeah no I didn't see him. Since I don't watch Fox News I can't say who it was that I saw, it was a group and they seemed very excited. Then there was one woman who they thought would have criticism but then she said she thought he did well. Idk. I see now what @Handfull1 was basing the post though.
@midnightrose

I'm not aware of other Fox News. I only know the one.

There is a national news and there is local news.

Or perhaps these were reactions from DJT supporters in the street.

I looked it up to try and find what I saw and nobody is posting the group of people that were talking about it....All I know is the people I saw were not talking like he lost.

The clips contained in the video I posted which are identified as Fox are mostly not saying he won.

If you look at one of @ElwoodBlues replies, he mentions the point where Fox asked a--presumably national--panel who won, they voted 12 - 5 for Harris.

I'm not sure what you saw.
@ElwoodBlues I saw a video of that panel. They said Harris won but there were some who said she did not meet their expectations, even though they raised their hand that she won. I thought their comments about why she didn't meet their expectations were interesting.
@SomeMichGuy It was not local news and it was not people on the street.

@SomeMichGuy I saw that video tonight after my original comment.
@SomeMichGuy This was one of the things that I saw. There were others but I haven't found it yet. [media=https://youtu.be/YXerS0J6PQk]

@midnightrose unfortunately, they both have much to gain by flattering Trump. They’re politicians, not reporters.

@SomeMichGuy Did you not see where I said
I see now what @Handfull1 was basing the post though.
I was trying to find the videos of what I saw because you were thinking I saw it on the local news or they were people on the street. I was trying to show you some of what I saw.
