You're absolutely correct. The MAGA crowd have been subject to so much fear-mongering and ragemongering (is that a word, or did I just make that up?) that they would absolutely have tried to tear this country apart with their bare hands if the shooter had succeeded.

This isn't peace. Americans would never admit there's anything normal to do when you actively welcome peace into your society. Americans can't have peace.
