@MrBrownstone there is no question there is an inflation, but that seems to have leveled off, we shall see. the oil price has had a lot to do with the inflation, so let us wait. As to the need for 2 incomes to afford to live the "American Dream," that started many years ago, well before 2020.

@MrBrownstone the only thing that could have prevented this inflation would have been no covid, no war, there was really no one way to have prevented it. Poor management of the outbreak, meaning the politicalization and failure to appropriately deal with it early, then the global setting of oil precies, after the covid lockdowns caused oil prices to drop and the refiners to stop producing, so many parameters, no one person could have prevented it. When tRump was elected, I thought, maybe he was a better business man than we in the NY metropolitan area thought, and maybe a businessman could run the country better than a politician...

@MrBrownstone seriously? show me your evidence that in the western world anyone really shut the economy down, true there were regulations set that may have been difficult, but that all happened in an attempt to prevent people from getting sick, and dying!

@samueltyler2 Did political people shut down economy or did the virus tell you to? Viruses have been around for hundreds of years. Hong Kong flu pandemic didn鈥檛 shut down any business. Hell they even had Woodstock.
