Maui fires, arson?

It's highly likely that the Maui fires were started by arsonists. The landscape and the weather was perfect for such an incident. Remember, we are in a global war and, like the Canadian and Greek fires, the Maui fire would show that no area is exempt from such an attack. The beauty of it is that such attacks can be staged to appear perfectly natural in origin and therefore brings no retribution from the attacked victims. Such attacks are far cheaper than brute military force. In all probability we can expect an increase in such incidents.

Have you noticed that the terrorist arsonists are now brning up Washington State? No one seems to care Better buy your lumber today because it will soon be in short supply and very expensive.
Ynotisay · M
@Diotrephes What fires in WA were caused by arsonists? Specifically. You should be able to answer so please do.
You seem to really locked in to the arson thing. Tells me you don't live around wildfire threat. Or seen a wildfire in the wilderness. I'm right about that, huh?
You can have your arson fantasy if you want. But that's what it is. A fantasy. I don't know why that would be but there must be a reason. Where arson mostly exists is with buildings. Because there's a potential pay out. There isn't with wildfires.

@Ynotisay It seems that you have forgotten that we are in a real war. We have several very real foreign enemies, so what better way to attack us than destroying our forests and filling the air with noxious particles that will probably cause us all kinds ofproblems in the future?

Then there are the stupid lunatics who love to set fires, ranging from firemen to dumb campers.

One thing is for sure and that is not all of the thousands of fires were started by natural causes. When you look at the total damage it is the size of New York State.

As I said before, if you think you will need some lumber, you had better buy it today because the price will soon be astronomical. That is going to put a serious crimp in new house construction.
Ynotisay · M
@Diotrephes OK. But I was right, huh? You don't live around wildfire risk. No one said fires are always started by natural cases. That's silly. The vast majority are started by people. By accident. Power lines, not having a spark arrestor and driving on dry terrain, idiots with campfires, power tools, a cigarette butt...the list goes on. And yes. There are pyromaniacs. That's a real thing. But that wasn't a real thing in Lahaina or the fires burning in Washington.
Diotrephes · 70-79, M
@Ynotisay Will you say the same thing for the next dozen fires in a day or two?
Ynotisay · M
@Diotrephes I'll always say it because, unlike you, I live in high fire risk area. I understand wildfires.
Diotrephes · 70-79, M
@Ynotisay Stay safe.
JSul3 · 70-79
@Diotrephes So they are burning Canada too?
Diotrephes · 70-79, M
@JSul3 How do you think all of those 5,881 (as of August 22, 2023) forest fires in Canada got started?
JSul3 · 70-79
@Diotrephes According to sources in Canada, "the usual suspects" are lightening strikes and stupid people doing stupid things like not extinguishing their camp fires....not conspiracy theories.
Diotrephes · 70-79, M
@JSul3 When you look at the number of forest fires and area burned, the US leads. Russia is 49% forest but it has very few forest fires. The fires in the western countries are mostly caused by arsonist terrorists.
JSul3 · 70-79
@Diotrephes If that can be proven, go for it.
My web searches are coming up empty so far. Having said that, I don't check QAnon type web sites.

@Diotrephes So where is the source for 'terrorists starting fires?'
Diotrephes · 70-79, M
@JSul3 You do realize that the western countries are at war with Russia, China, North Korea, and Iran don't you? What better way to attack the western countries than to set their forests on fire, thereby destroying a major natural resource and filling the air with dangerous particles? And, the beauty of it is that the western countries will cover it up and blame it on natural causes. At the current rate of attack, there won't be any forests left in some areas within a few years. Good luck getting the lumber necessary to build new houses because there won't be any.
JSul3 · 70-79
@Diotrephes Until there is proof of arson, you are simply "fueling the flames" of conspiracy theories.
Diotrephes · 70-79, M
@JSul3 You do know that 85% of the forest fires in America are started by people, don't you?
JSul3 · 70-79
@Diotrephes Yes. Fools throwing cigarette butts out....not fully extinguishing their camp fires...etc.
That makes them STUPID PEOPLE not arsonists!
Diotrephes · 70-79, M
@JSul3 The best way to eliminate that action is to impose a national mandatory death sentence on anyone linked to starting a forest fire. Once the jury finds the defendant guilty, there is no review by any court, or pardon, and the sentence has to be carried out within 168 hours of the reading of the guilty verdict.

Have you seen what destruction cardboard drones can do in war?

Cardboard drones eyed in strikes on Russian airfields that destroyed at least 5 fighter jets

Imagine such drones in the hands of crazy arsonists or terrorists. There wouldn't be a tree left standing in the forests.
