Maui fires, arson?

It's highly likely that the Maui fires were started by arsonists. The landscape and the weather was perfect for such an incident. Remember, we are in a global war and, like the Canadian and Greek fires, the Maui fire would show that no area is exempt from such an attack. The beauty of it is that such attacks can be staged to appear perfectly natural in origin and therefore brings no retribution from the attacked victims. Such attacks are far cheaper than brute military force. In all probability we can expect an increase in such incidents.

Interviews and video evidence reviewed by The New York Times show that the brush fire last week that wiped out Lahaina in Maui ignited under a snapped power line a full nine hours before it roared through town — flaring up in the afternoon after firefighters had declared it contained.

@JSul3 I read that article earlier.
"County officials reported that the fire was “100% contained” by 9 a.m."
No warnings went out.
100% contained is a big statement. Especially in wind like that. So outside of a power company failing it looks like the local fire department did too. Bad, bad scene.
