Today is the 18 memorial [I Remember 911]

Sitting here with tears in my eyes remembering those of my friends lost and/or deeply affected. It is 19 years now, I will never forget that day. Isn't it ironic, 19 years ago the nation, and thenwotkd, came together in mourning in solidarity, everyone had compassion and empathy. Nineteen years later and covid19, we are totally torn apart, unsympathetic and even amoral! So sad!

Yes, I remember the first time I saw American flags hanging from overpasses. Too often a political party seems to be implying that love of country is only for the side who makes the most noise about it. But at that time, flags from the overpasses seemed to be exactly right.
