I Still Remember September 11

[big][c=#7700B2]Never Forget 09/11/2001[/c][/big]

Today I am reflecting on 9/11 and what that meant to our country, and to our friends around the world as well. We will never forget that date and the loss of lives caused by those bent on our destruction.

But I am also very proud of our military, and our Special Operations Forces, including the Navy Seals that took out the mastermind behind that horrible day. These lyrics were written by SSgt. Barry Sadler of the Army Green Berets, but I post them here to honor all our Special Operations Forces.

[c=#7700B2]"Fighting soldiers from the sky,
Fearless men who jump and die,
Men who mean just what they say,
The brave men of the Green Berets.
Silver wings upon their chest,
These are men America's best,
One hundred men will test today,
But only three win the Green Beret."[/c]

Folks, this is neither the time nor the place for commentary political or otherwise.
MrBrownstone · 46-50, M
That's your opinion.
HoraceGreenley · 56-60, M
@MrBrownstone: Yes it is. It is my hope that people would respect the spirit with which the poster started this theme.
MrBrownstone · 46-50, M
@HoraceGreenley: Good luck with respect on the Internet.
HoraceGreenley · 56-60, M
@MrBrownstone: I believe in giving people enough rope to hang themselves.
MrBrownstone · 46-50, M
@HoraceGreenley: No you don't. Your first post contradicts that.
HoraceGreenley · 56-60, M
@MrBrownstone: I don't follow.
MrBrownstone · 46-50, M
@HoraceGreenley: You don't want people to talk about politics. But want people to hang themselves. How can they if you don't want them to talk politics?
HoraceGreenley · 56-60, M
People can talk politics. Just do it with a different post. This post is about something else.

Talk all you want.
MrBrownstone · 46-50, M
@HoraceGreenley: Thanks for being so American and telling people what they can and can't talk about.
HoraceGreenley · 56-60, M
I never said that people could not talk politics. My comments are about respect for the poster and his intent. A little common decency would be appreciated.
MrBrownstone · 46-50, M
@HoraceGreenley: But you implied it. Common sense would be appreciated.
HoraceGreenley · 56-60, M
I most certainly did not imply that.
MrBrownstone · 46-50, M
@HoraceGreenley: It's how I took it. Or do you know how I feel?
HoraceGreenley · 56-60, M
That's the point. You are only considering your point of view.
MrBrownstone · 46-50, M
@HoraceGreenley: I'm also only speaking for myself. Are you that dense??
HoraceGreenley · 56-60, M
No, you're not considering the poster.
MrBrownstone · 46-50, M
@HoraceGreenley: Who did I mention?
HoraceGreenley · 56-60, M
You lost me.
MrBrownstone · 46-50, M
@HoraceGreenley: I know.
Enchanted · 56-60, F
Agreed...people lost their lives no matter who what where or why..RESPECT!!!!
HoraceGreenley · 56-60, M
Brownie, I've given you the rope and you've demonstrated your character. anyone reading this thread and our exchange can make up their own minds.

I've had enough of your banal comments.
MrBrownstone · 46-50, M
@HoraceGreenley: I will dumb it down for you. Stop being a holier than thou asshole.
@Angelita: [c=#BF0080]I agree.. no matter how you think about it.. which I happen to know the government was NOT involved.. so many people lost their lives that day. 😔[/c]
