I Still Remember September 11

[big][c=#7700B2]Never Forget 09/11/2001[/c][/big]

Today I am reflecting on 9/11 and what that meant to our country, and to our friends around the world as well. We will never forget that date and the loss of lives caused by those bent on our destruction.

But I am also very proud of our military, and our Special Operations Forces, including the Navy Seals that took out the mastermind behind that horrible day. These lyrics were written by SSgt. Barry Sadler of the Army Green Berets, but I post them here to honor all our Special Operations Forces.

[c=#7700B2]"Fighting soldiers from the sky,
Fearless men who jump and die,
Men who mean just what they say,
The brave men of the Green Berets.
Silver wings upon their chest,
These are men America's best,
One hundred men will test today,
But only three win the Green Beret."[/c]

Mustang, for me it is still very painful. I've been watching some of the memorials today, but it is still too difficult to focus on them for very long.

Thank you, HoraceGreenley, for remembering and for watching the memorials today. I hope you didn't suffer any direct personal losses that day.

@RealMustangGuy: Thankfully I did not. I do know a couple of people that worked in the Towers, who were lucky enough not to have reached the building before the planes hit.

I do know a couple of people that suffered personal losses. How about you.

@HoraceGreenley: No personal losses for me either, but know several people who did lose immediate family members and friends.
