I Can Not Wait Till The Election Is Over

I assume we are s[peaking of the US election. I am tired of the depth to which the election rhetoric has gone. I am truly fearful of the outcome and the effects on my children and grandchildren. Regardless of the outcome, the country has been so divided, that I wonder how it is possible to join together again. Is this a "bloodless" civil war? I truly believe it started the day after Mr. Obama was elected and then then senate minority leader stated that the goal was to prevent a re-election. When that didn't happen, the effort was to block everything Obama tried to do and now putting up with a divisive, narcissist candidate against an imperfect opponent, my goodness what will come of our society, even more important than our country per se.

People always assume what's happening right now is the worst possible. This election is no different than any other when you get right down to it. The elected officials aren't the ones that run this country. How could they when they're in office for a short time? It's the career politicians under them that are running the show, along with those that finance their agendas, but that's a different issue.

I agree and thankfully so. It is the rank and file, career government worker. Those same workers are the ones attacked by one of the candidates who has pledged to decrease their numbers, and worse. The point I tried to make however, is how to get the anger down, how to bring the nation together. there are a lot of similarities with the Civil war, it took a long time to get one country in fact after the war was over, if we ever really were one country!
