LEARN CPR, YOU MIGHT SAVE SOMEONE'S LIFE!
This past week, a 17 year old collapsed at a church youth event. I as setting up snacks when it happened. Someone yelled out for me to come. He was non- responsive and was not breathing. I called out for 911 to be called. I then began CPR. I must have done it for about 10 minutes before Medics arrived. They had to shock him 3 times to get a weak pulse. He was brought to a local hospital and then transferred to a pediatric hospital. He had been unconscious for 6 days. He woke up today and drank his first cup of water.

I used a skill i never thought I'd have to use. I thank God i got trained otherwise the young man would have likely died.
Amen! That's really great. I have trained for it, but I have never had to use it, but once I saved my late husband's life, when he was choking, by using the Heimlich maneuver.

God really used you that day to save that young man's life. That is really amazing. God bless you

@LadyGrace Praise God you were able to perform the Heimlich maneuver on your husband.

I know that God gives us the knowledge to learn these techniques to preserve and extend life.

I took a CPR class in the kink community before the pandemic. They went woke and demanded every one get 3 or more covid shots. I had to walk away. Hope I never had to use CPR.
My mom was out to dinner at a restaurant with an old friend who was a nurse. Some one fell out near by. She got up and did CPR till the ambulance arrived. Got a free dinner.

I took CPR courses when I first began working with people in the Greater Plymouth ARC, and updated my skills when I worked at the homeless shelter. It's been forever and I haven't re upped my certification, and thankfully I have never had to give CPR to a live human.

Oh wow! Thank you for helping save a life!
Because my job is working with small children I'm required to have CPR training every two years. Hopefully I never have to use it but you never know when you 'll need it, as you did.

@DemureDeb Thank you.

That is so fantastic!! Did he have a pulse? He is so blessed that you were there and did CPR!!
OverTheHill · 56-60, M
@Carazaa When the EMT's arrived they had to shock him three times to get a weak pulse. I just did CPR till they arrived. It was a definite nudge from the Lord to do it.
Carazaa · F
@OverTheHill You kept him alive, praise God for that!

What happened that a young boy collapsed that way?
OverTheHill · 56-60, M
@cherokeepatti He has some cardio issues that the family were unaware of. One of the heart sacs had an infection in it.
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
