Why does it seem like the Democrats favor the Ayatollah?

I understand why they want Trump to fail, they hate him.

But why do Democrats think Iran is great the way it is? I have not heard them say one thing about
the 10s of thousands of protestors that have been killed.

Before that I was a Crew Chief on fighter jets in the USAF.

Yes, school of hard knocks. Also spent 1 year in Military prison in the 80's
