This video in essence, is someone 'old' news here in Canada. It was about 10 months ago that Mark Carney increased the export price of Canadian electricity to the USA by 25%, which equates to about $10 per megawatt for
American businesses and households. This was in direct response to Trump's tariffs.
I'm not saying that this incident in the video didn't happen through the use of algorithms in response to Trump shooting off his mouth, but I am very much aware of Canada's newly minted mini-nuclear power generators located on the north side of the border from coast to coast which are actually America's future power supply, produced by Canadian taxpayer dollars.
The purpose of these nuclear generators is to supply the US market, not the Canadian market, though the power itself can be diverted northward if required by Canada.
Those mini-nuclear reactors are about the size of a bus shelter on a street corner, which means they are essentially unnoticeable. The reason Canada built those reactors is because the US had no money to build their own.
Canada now supplies (in part) every State in the USA except the State of Texas who generate their own power from fossil fuel-burning generators and are essentially independent of the American power grid itself. The US generates it's own electrical power as well, but their power grid hasn't been upgraded since the 1960s.
It was only 2 day ago I watched on Canadian TV where the Province of Nova Scotia is building offshore wind turbines to make electricity to sell to the State of Massachusetts. That power can be diverted north if required if things go off the rails south of the border.
I think what would happen more accurately stated, is that the price wouldn't necessarily increase each time Trump shot off his mouth, but instead the availability of electricity could easily be throttled-back in response to Trump's rhetoric, thereby causing brown-outs along the eastern seaboard of the USA.
This is more about Canada making a statement to the USA of who it is that's really in charge here. Canada doesn't need the money that it makes from sale of electricity to the USA, but dimming the lights is one way to remind Trump who's in charge of the switch, which I think is kinda funny actually! 🇨🇦

Wow! That explains why Carney has spent only a day or two in Parliament since he got Elected! Instead of arguing with the Conservatives, Carney was out cutting deals and getting the job done.
I can honestly say that what the Announcer spoke of in regard to the Canadian attitude and it's posturing toward the USA over the past 80 decades, is absolutely correct. I cannot think of a single thing she said that was exaggerated or wishful thinking. All of it was true. She was also right in saying that up until Sheriff Carney showed up in town, nothing was about to change.
One point in particular she made was that Trump FORCED Canada to get off it's assss and grow up. It is for that reason that I've always said that Trump was the best thing that ever happened to Canada! This is because every other American President that ever existed, made it way too comfy-cosy for Canada to just sit on the sidelines and 'rent' whatever it needed from the USA. I've seen that many times before and I grew sick of it as did most Canadians.
I look forward to the explosive growth and prosperity in Canada, thanks to Prime Minister Carney and thanks to the gross ineptitude of US President Donald J. Trump.
Another great video. Thanks for the great find!

@swirlie Dont get too overjoyed just yet..Canadas journey will hit some speed bumps, potholes and Toll booths. But it is a journey worth taking. And certainly better than being chained to the anvil that is America now.. Canadians should also be proud that Carney was the first.. The leader who showed the way.. There are a dozen followers now. Large and small, all bypassed America. And they wont magically return with the next administration, no matter who it is..American voters have shown they are not in a position to elect a trustworthy government. Why should anyone trust them again? And a small side note.Trump is crowing about the US stock market. It has risen about 11%. That is approximately the same amount the value of the $US has fallen over the same period. Real value gain? Zero. Contrast that with the real value of the Canadian stock exchange value over the same period and compare that to the value of the $C and you will find it is Canada that is the real success story there too..😷

Sobering reality check. I look forward to that journey and I'm advising anyone I know with money to invest in Canada. You really have a way of putting America's truth into perspective here and I appreciate that. 🇨🇦

@swirlie Just keep your head down and powder dry. Trump isnt the only fox in the henhouse who may get desperate as things go bad..Freezing Canadian assets and similar tactics might happen.😷

@whowasthatmaskedman
Freezing Canadian assets would be a game-changer globally, I think?

@swirlie I agree. A definite red flag to the world to get the heck out of Dodge..😷
