They established the university in 1898 and continues to sponsor it, ensuring its core identity is rooted in St. Vincent de Paul's principles of social justice, service to the poor, and community empowerment, influencing everything from its mission statement to student activities like Vincentian Service and Formation.
As a private institution, DePaul is free to make its own decisions about who addresses students. Bring your complaints to these Priests and Brothers; not to me!!
