Will the shutdown take a toll on GDP?

I have heard that the GDP could take a 1 1/2% hit. This will not be good for interest rates, and it will not be good for Trump.

So all in all Democrats were successful. They held out long enough to hurt Trump, and the entire country. This was their goal.

If you are thinking about buying a house, you may have to wait a while longer, because the Feds will use this as a
way to keep rates high.

Short term, no. Long term, yes.

MAGA and Heritage Foundation still idolize DJT. To them, the shutdown is just another attack on their enemies and they love it. They see themselves in DJT. They want to get away with what he gets away with. They want to hurt the people that DJT hurts. All this grift, pain and suffering is very satisfying to MAGA and Heritage Foundation, and GOP need that hate and vitriol to stay in power. What shutdown?

That's the next 8 to 10 months. Longer term, those supporters are going to become disillusioned and turn on DJT.

@DogMan There's this polarization here between left and right that defines a person, unique to America. I don't find this anywhere else. Chose a side and hate the others. It won't always be this way, but for now that's my America. Ireland's divide between protestants and Catholics does come close; vicious.

@tenenteThe American Media went all in for Democrats years ago. They did a good job disguising it for decades.

This changed the Dynamics, and we got Fox news. Still the left controls almost 90% of media, not to mention
Hollywood. Even the BBC has fallen in with the American Democrats. I'm sure you have heard about them
altering Trumps Jan 6th speech in order to get people to hate him. A 1 Billion dollar lawsuit is pending. They have
issued an apology, but not a sincere one.
