Will Trump save the farmers

Farmers across the country are looking at record yields during their fall harvest. They may have nowhere to sell them.

As a result of President Donald Trump’s trade war with China, crop farmers have lost a significant export market, driving down the price of top U.S. crops like soybeans and corn, even as Trump’s tariffs drive up the cost of farm equipment and fertilizer.

Nobody seems to have learned the lesson from the first iteration of his tariff experiment. Is it right that the taxpayer should be on the hook for the economic damage caused?

@BrandNewMan I am not interested in participating in your country's domestic political discourse. I comment upon subjects such as international trade, immigration and human rights that affect us all. I asked a perfectly neutral question about an recurring economic situation. You interpreted it as an attack on Trump.

@BrandNewMan No. Biden did not rip up international trade agreements or use illegal and undemocratic means to pursue his immigration policy. Those are the things I am interested in commenting upon.
