@SunshineGirl You do know that they will get back pay, right? Today will be the first day without a paycheck.

I know, you are worried about the irresponsible government employees that waste every dime and are broke before
payday. Don't worry too much, they all keep their healthcare and every military base has a chow hall.

Remember, most of these folks are under worked and over paid, many have other jobs because of how little
work they do.

@DogMan It is a reasonable assumption when you have a contract of employment that you will have work to go to each day and a salary to draw upon each month. It is upon such assumptions that folk make major financial commitments such as taking out a mortgage or having a child. Most people I know would struggle financially if they did not get paid on time. That's not profligacy, it's just a fact of life.

You have made four big generalisations here about federal employees without a shred of evidence.

@SunshineGirl I have worked in construction since getting out of the military. In 50+ years of work I have never
been so irresponsible as to live beyond my means. Those are the people you are talking about right?, which proves
my points above.

Anyone that drives a fancy car, or has a huge house, and does not have a savings account
and emergency fund is just fucking irresponsible. People that live paycheck to paycheck
need to be the most frugal people. They sure as hell should not be starting a family, that would
be Idiotic.
